We are in Djenne, Mali
MaliMali employs three women and one man from Djenne full time: Niamoy, Baji and Baji Fitini work in the weaving and bogolan studio and Dembele runs the shop where we sell our products. We also do limited orders by email.
MaliMali is formed as an Association to benefit the people of Djenne. Any money we gain after paying the four workers’ salaries goes to several small projects in health, culture and education in and around Djenne. We are grateful for donations for these projects.
MaliMali is an Association registered in Djenne, set up in 2007 by Sophie Sarin, a Swedish designer who lives in Mali and runs a hotel: www.hoteldjennedjenno.com
